I feel very lucky that photography has connected me to so many incredible people. Nearly four years ago, Alyssa Conrad of Pearl & Dot opened her doors and shaped the way modern brides shopped for their wedding gowns in Calgary. Fast forward to last year when one of Alyssa’s dearest friends, Janelle, got engaged to Kevin and invited me to be a part of their story.

Janelle and Kevin reside just outside of San Francisco, and in the weeks leading up to their session, Janelle and I tried to narrow down where their photos would take place. This was a nearly impossible task – they were open to exploring just about anywhere and it goes without saying that I was, too! We began their session at the Legion of Honor, and continued on to Marin Headlands and Black Sands Beach (more on this to come!).

For our first stop, we visited the Legion of Honor, a fine art museum in San Francisco. It houses a collection that covers more than 6,000 years of ancient and European art. Janelle and Kevin both had impeccable style for their engagement photos! Janelle wore an absolutely stunning jumpsuit from BHLDN, and Kevin opted for a slim grey suit. We were blessed by the weather gods and had perfect, sunny skies for their late June engagement.
