IT'S WONDERFUL
TO MEET YOU ...
My name is Natalie, and I am a storyteller. I am a keeper of moments. A historian. A lover of love. A wife and mother. Previous to my life as a wedding photographer, I was a high school English & Photography teacher. I've always been inspired by the intimate interactions that occur between people - and I believe this lends itself so naturally to wedding photography. My wonderful husband Greg, our children Jude & Nora, and I currently reside in Calgary, Alberta, nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
I started this business (formerly Heart & Sparrow Photography) when I was 27 years old, newly married, and still teaching full-time. That was nearly ten years ago, and here we are: over 150 couples photographed throughout the Rocky Mountains, Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, The US, Mexico, The Bahamas, Jamaica, and Greece. I feel very lucky to be so in love with this work and to be invited to capture these stories.
A few of my very favorite things...
01. Statement Earrings
I am fairly classic when it comes to clothing, but bold when it comes to earrings. They are my favourite accessory to collect, and I have yet to meet a tassel earring I didn't like!
02. Charcuterie Boards
Is there anything better than a beautifully presented spread of your favourite cheeses and charcuterie? Bonus points if shared outdoors with plenty of rosé.
03. The Sea
Fresh air and salt water are truly the cure for all things. There's nothing in the world that brings me peace and stirs my creativity like the ocean.
04. Flowers
Fresh cut flowers truly make a house a home. There's rarely a moment where a vase isn't brimming with flowers in our house, whether they be of the supermarket variety, or foraged from our yard.
05. Family
Lives truly are meant to be shared, and I am so lucky to walk through life not only with these three, but also along our huge extended Greek & Ukrainian families.
